Dussehra is celebrated as triumph of good over evil. This year, Prime Minister, President Ram Nath Kovind and other political leaders greeted the nation on the occasion of Dussehra. The President has said that the festival inspires us to live by honesty and truthfulness.
The tenth day of the Navratri festival, Dussehra commences the end of Durga Puja and is celebrated in different ways throughout the country.While in the eastern parts of country, the festival commemorates Maa Durga’s departure from Earth towards her in laws home, in north and central India, it signifies the victory of Lord Ram over Ravana. The day also incidently marks the victory of Pandavas over the Kauravas. In south India, the day is celebrated by worshipping Saraswati.
India might be celebrating this day in their own way and interpretations, ultimately it unifies the spirit of truth over all.
