Independence Day 2019: United India

This year has been historic as the Article 370 has been removed from Kashmir, and India will be celebrating its Independence Day as one nation with the Kashmir issue resolved. Prime Minister Modi will be delivering his first Independence Day speech in this term on Thursday.

Meanwhile the dress rehearsals are all happening full fledged in Delhi. The army, navy and air force are all set to perform their best on the grounds of Red Fort. Even the school children have been rehearsing for their performances. Amit Shah may unfurl the flag from Srinagar’s Lal Chowk. This is of course yet to be confirmed, and high security has been posted everywhere.

Security experts strongly believe that if the flag goes up in Srinagar, it will be an extremely strong message to our neighbors. Meanwhile those who were detained in Kashmir are still kept that way. We are yet to witness if this move will see the dawn of new India.
