If you were a fan of the series The Office, you might just have known that there is going to be an Indian adaptation of the same that will be aired soon. There have been 13 different adaptations of the same show, in different languages. We have narrowed down the favorite characters that you can relate to – any time of the day! Here are the characters and their plot developments:
Michael Scott: The Boss we Grow to Love
Played by Steve Cecil, this is one of the best characters in the US adaptations. There are some great kickass lines, and some terrible acts of ridicule too. A funny and compassionate boss from your real life, no?
The under achieving sales man who has a soft corner for the receptionist:
This is a character that is hardly difficult to miss –the way he grabs attention of Dana, the receptionist, is such a role to watch. It’s a common factor that all offices will have something of a hidden crush always.
Gareth Keenan – The Self Proclaimed Leader
He is instrumental in bringing about comic relief to all scenes. He fights for the post assistant regional manager and makes things more difficult for everyone else. Dwight Scrhute is the US adaptation counterpart who does it, right till the end!
Anne Viens: the receptionist who has great rapport with her boss, is optimistic, and smiles at her boss jokes, ( but inwardly cringes) – we all know someone like this.
Ricky Howard ( The Eccentric Person)
Ricky Howard is hired as temp, and his development is interesting to watch – he acts in both US and UK adaptations.
No matter which adaptation you have watched, you must relate to your work buddies on another level if you have watched this show. The Indian adaptation of this will air soon from June 28th on Hotstar.
