A year passed by yet there wasn’t much to enthrall about, at least not in the entertainment section. Though we had some pretty good releases, they failed to meet the expectation, leaving all the fans high and dry.

With 2020 booming with energy and enthusiasm, we expect some of out of the box theories to catch the cinematic arena. The year has taken a superb strike with major releases like The Grudge, Doolittle and The Gentlemen in Hollywood and Chhapaak in Bollywood. Well, it’s the start and there are many more you can expect in the upcoming months.

To narrow down the search, we have here 10 of the diciest movies to release in 2020

  1. Promising Young Woman

Directed by: Emerald Fennell

Starring: Carey Mulligan, Laverne Cox, Bo Burnham, Alison Brie, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Adam Brody, Connie Britton, Molly Shannon

Opening on: April 17, 2020

Carey Mulligan acts as a vigilante in this thriller and acts like she is drunk so that she can trap men that seem to help her, only that they are trying to exploit her sexually.

Starring: John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Robert Pattinson, Kenneth Branagh, Michael Caine, Himesh Patel

Opening on: July 17, 2020

Guess everyone had an idea that Nolan was about to come up with a movie starring David Washington named Tenet. Nothing much was known about the theme. Last December, the first trailer aired yet the only thing evident is the lead being some agent. But still, nothing is known!

Opening on: August 21, 2020

Grew together but the adventures their unlock seem to continue period after period. Though it has been decades since the last move, Dean has done all to recreate the magic and enthusiasm in a lively format.

Directed by: Patrick Hughes

Starring: Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek, Richard E. Grant, Morgan Freeman, Antonio Banderas, Frank Grillo

Opening on: August 28, 2020

After 2017’s The Hitman’s Bodyguard got a massive response, Patrick Hughes seems to go with a second shot. The trailer shows Salma Hayek’s Sonia with Michael (Ryan Reynolds) and Darius (Samuel L. Jackson) where two teams up to save Sonia.

Opening on: September 4, 2020

A sequel by John Krasinski and based on his real-life wife, Emily, the movie seems to justify the extension and is a bang-up of the infestations created earlier.

Though we are much more adapted in the concept of the sequel, Matthew Vaughn breaks the bar as he comes with a prequel to Kingsman franchise and a Statesman spinoff, one that dates back to the 1990s.
