This is a commercial movie that is a far cry from the other senseless commercial movies that are frequently produced. Filled with humour and crazy quirky mirth, this movie is a stand out. A directorial debut by Raaj Shaaandilyaa, and featuring actors like Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Barucha, the movie is genuinely funny.
The interesting story begins with a young Ayushmann ( Karamveer) on screen, unwillingly agreeing to play the part of Sita in his town’s local screening of Raamleela. He is then shown in his mid 20s still doing the same – playing Sita’s part. The jobless Karam soon lands into a shady calling service where women call men – and Karam does what he does best, talk like a woman. Karam turns Pooja and talks to his clientele – giving the other women in the center a tough competition. His clients are an assortment – from poets, to old buffoons, to his own father, his job is not cakewalk.
The actor does a brilliant job each time with his voice and acting, and the ease with which he switches on and off the feminity is commendable. Nushrat’s love story with Karam turns out a bit dragged, but overall the movie stands to be a great entertainer. Watch the movie to know how it ends!
